Who are we

Command Secondary School Abakaliki (CSSA) located then in Enugu State but presently in Ebonyi state was founded October, 1984.  In 1989, the school graduated the first set of graduates. After many years of existence of the school, COMMAND SECONDARY SCHOOL, ABAKALIKI ALUMNI (CSSAA) also known as “COMMANDOS” came into existence but was formally inaugurated on July 1st 2017 after the National Executive Election.

The Alumni became necessary to create a community that will embrace different generations/graduates of Command Secondary School Abakaliki (CSSA). The body was expected to play a dominant role in CSSA by reflecting the views of the alumni. The alumni comprise of fifteen (15) chapters globally of which thirteen (13) are in Nigeria while two in diaspora.

Upon graduation, you are expected to join any chapter or community of your choice. Our programme includes but not limited to bringing our alumni together to debate, collaborate, synergise and support each other irrespective of our diversity and cultural backgrounds.

Over the years, a lot of developments have been recorded in the management and administration of the Association which includes a bakery, renovation of the MRS room, distribution of mosquito nets to students, facelift of the kitchen and many more.

The alumni also have a constitution that became operative 22nd October, 2016.

Alumni Structure

The CSSAA has the following structure in place to run the activities of the Alumni:

  • Board of Trustees
  • National Executives
  • Chapter Executives
  • A total number of thirteen (13) chapters in Nigeria and two (2) chapters in diaspora.

Become a Member

Only people who have attended Command Secondary School, Abakaliki (CSSA) are allowed to become a member(s) by making a payment of a one-time registration fee of N2,000 (Two Thousand Naira Only) and monthly dues of N100 (One Hundred Naira only) through the Chapter Commandants.

Member(s) must belong to a chapter (in the state they reside or a chapter close by).
